Expanding Worlds
If you’re interested in posting your own setting for the Challenge System or contributing artwork, please read this page.
General Info
Nothing will be sold; everything is free for anyone to download. Credit will be given in the appropriate places (on the web site or in the setting document).
Contributing Settings
If you want to use the Challenge System as a setting for your own world, that’s excellent! Please be sure that you’ve read through all of the Core Rules. These are the basics of the system and are for the most part untouchable. The one thing that can be messed around with a bit is Edge. Edge is there to give the players a heroic advantage, but it is also there to play the part of mana, essence, magic points, karma, etc, etc. And there may be different ways of doing this.
Essentially, you need to like the system as it is.
Then you need to contact Josh Demers at joshdemers@gmail.com.
Most likely, as long as the way the system is handled is agreed upon, you’ll have free reign to write the setting, email it to Josh, and he’ll post it. When writing the setting, you’ll need to use Word or OpenOffice. You’ll get full credit as the author of the setting. In turn, please acknowledge Josh as the author of the Challenge System and refer to the Core Rules.
Also, to simplify things, please be prepared to give permission for artwork to be put into your work without being contacted. If you see something that you just don’t think fits, email Josh about it.
Contributing Art
If you want to contribute art to a particular setting or to the website itself, email Josh Demers at joshdemers@gmail.com with a scan of the artwork and the inspiration for piece.
You’ll be giving permission to put the piece in the world setting that you specify, or in the Core Rules, or on the web site. You will own the piece and will be given credit in the setting. It will not be sold or used for any other purpose.
Thanks!
